A passionate and dedicated teacher, Emily is regularly invited to give masterclasses all over the world

Emily is visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London.

She taught at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague for eleven years (1996 – 2007), the Conservatorium of Amsterdam for two years (1997 – 1999) and is regularly invited to give masterclasses all over the world.

From 2009 – 2021, she was Artistic leader of the Netherlands Flute Academy.

She has given masterclasses at amongst others; Yale University, the Manhattan School of Music, the Mannes College of Music, the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (Paris), Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (Zaragoza, Spain), the Stockholm Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music, Trinity College of Music, the Sydney Conservatorium, the Australian National Academy of Music, Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, Korea National University of Arts, Seoul, the Kirishima Festival (Japan) etc…
